Tough, Kind, and One of a Kind: Lessons and Laughter with Ali

Ali was a tough boss, but with a heart of gold, and I’m thankful every day for the lessons she taught me.

Ali encouraged me to grow and develop as a manager but also in my personal life. She supported me through challenging times and was always there, usually with cakes, when I needed a pep talk. Ali made everything feel better, she helped me breathe in those times. She made me laugh, with her infectious giggle over the silliest things! Never in my career had I experienced supervision from a stable with a foal peeking over my managers shoulder!

I saw Ali a couple of months ago when we met for coffee (and cake!) and despite everything she was going through she was bright and bubbly and full of advice. She didn’t complain once. Ali was one of a kind and she’ll be missed by many x
